It was founded by the monk Jovan in 1020, while in the 16th century the monastery was destroyed by the Ottoman authorities and only one small church remained from the whole complex; to be latter restored in 1743.
The Bigorski monastery consists of the monastery church, dedicated to John the Baptist, the ossuary, located next to the church itself, the Seymen defense tower, the complex of monastery lodgings, and the newly built guest lodgings.
It is widely known for its iconostasis, a wonderful artistic wooden procedure. The iconostasis is divided into six horizontal belts, with flora and fauna ornaments.
After the visit we can spend more time in the park, and enjoy lunch with traditional and organic products from the nearby villages. Afternoon return to Ohrid for a relaxing evening by the lake, and overnight.

Heraclea Lyncestis is a city settlement from the Old Macedonian time to the Middle Ages. The city was founded in the pre-Roman period, probably by the Macedonian king Philip II or Philip V, as an important strategic point.
Further we proceed towards Povardarje – Vardar valley, one of the most important wine regions in North Macedonia.
We will visit Tikvesh Vineyard, famous for its artificial lake and and known as the center of North Macedonian wine production, producing the wine for more then 120 years. Most common sorts of wines are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Muscat Otonel ect.

Boat tour to Sveti Naum Monastery
This morning we take a boat tour from Ohrid old town towards the Monastery of Sveti Naum, After about 75 minutes panoramic boat tour, we reach and visit the Monastery. Set amidst lush verdure where the River Crna Drin tumbles into the lake, the monastery of St. Naum is a refuge of tranquility at the very southwestern corner of the Macedonian Republic. As with most Byzantine churches, St. Naum was chosen primarily for its location – on a high, rocky outcropping over the lake, above deep forests and life-giving springs of the river Crn Drim. The monastic complex and church of St. Naum were built originally at the turn of the tenth century by the monk that beard the same name; Macedonians believe you can still hear the saint’s heartbeat by pressing an ear to his stone coffin inside the church. After the visit and the free time to walk around the monastery complex, we return to Ohrid by bus; to continue the day sunbathing and swimming in the lake. Overnight in Ohrid.
